ZOIC created the first mountain bike shorts in 1994, introducing tech-blended comfort to the swelling ranks of fat tire fans. This heritage of innovation and exploration infuses our designs today, inspiring people to hop on a bike and ride, from entry level mountain bikers to downhill deviants, back road travelers to urban commuters.

We are a team of passionate mountain bikers, road cyclists, hikers, runners, surfers and swimmers. We tap the pulse of our lives outdoors to drive new developments. And we saddle up every chance we get, sometimes to test our latest gear, but more often for a fresh gulp of that freedom of biking we first tasted when the training wheels came off.

ZOIC is a grassroots, organic brand. No flashy ads or big name pro riders here. You'll find us riding alongside you at bike festivals, getting dirty on dig days to support trail access, and cleaning up second-hand bikes so disadvantaged kids can have a "new" bike for Christmas. We love connecting with the mountain bike community and creating more opportunities to ride, especially when the work puts us outside!

People often ask "What does ZOIC mean?" ZOIC is the Greek word for life, it is pronounced zo-wick, as in the word "Paleozoic" (not like Shaggy saying "Zoinks!"). ZOIC is clothing for an active life. We invite you to interact with us. We appreciate your feedback which helps to make our products better. And we encourage you to engage positively with other trail users.
