MANNY ALTAMIRANO - SAN DIEGO, CA
What is your Day Job:
My day job consists of me disguising myself as the sales and marketing director for a small software company, located in San Diego, Ca.
What Bike(s) are you riding:
I’m on a fun little Norco Optic and I am currently rebuilding my hardtail. I was previously on a steel Norco Torrent and now I’m waiting on a SWEET titanium Roost Nero Ti frame, made by our friends down under.
Where can we find you out riding on a regular basis?
I live in San Diego and my favorite spots nearby during the week tend to be Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve and Black Mountain. On the weekends I try to do something special like Laguna Mountain or head North to visit our good friends in Murrieta.
Favorite post-ride food or drink:
Post ride, I usually just bring a protein bar and wash it down with a tasty adult beverage…or two. ?
What are your riding/bike related plans this year?
I’m volunteering at San Diego Mountain Biking Association’s Archipelago Ride. I’ll be a camera guy out on the trail somewhere…so make sure to flex some blue steel for me when you pass by. I’m also planning a trip to Utah, and Sedona.
What ZOIC is your go to ZOIC gear?
I have a ton of Ether Shorts in different colors, but I really got into the lightweight feel of the Lineage Shorts in the warmer months. I have also been a huge fan of Ultra Impact Liners; they offer great compression, comfy  chamois and they add extra protection for when I’m pulling the bike off the rack. I also just picked up my first pair of Edge Pants. I love the slim tapered fit and stretchy comfort.
