I have tried on SO many different MTB shorts and none of them fit my pear shape very well. They often were tight in the thighs and butt and lose/gapping in the waist. Today I found these shorts at a local cycle boutique and WOW! They feel so good on, nice and stretchy, and the adjustable waist is key! I finally feel good in my shorts and I am so happy to find a brand/style that works for my curvy and athletic body.

Womens mountain bike shorts tend to not be the most flattering but these are slim cut, have good stretch and look (fairly) good. Best ones I have found to date.

I often have trouble with fit, but these are great
I bought a pair of these before a week of downhill and XC riding in Colorado, and was very impressed with how comfortable they were for all kinds of riding. I am 5'4'' 145 (Medium is a good fit for me) and often find clothing too restrictive around my bum and thighs, then too lose around the waist. The waist adjustment on these is very comfortable and doesn't crumple up the fabric, and I have full, unrestricted range of motion in my legs while riding. I was able to ride with an iPhone 10R in a case in the pocket, and it wasn't the most comfortable... but the pockets easily hold anything smaller. I bought my first pair in the store, and am now buying more online -- they're not only for riding, as they are nice looking shorts for daily life too. Big fan.
